Travelguide
Leiden can be reached by train, with a time for travel from Den Haag (10 min.), Amsterdam (35 min.), Rotterdam (30 min.), Utrecht (45 Min.) en Schiphol Airport (20 min.). From the railway station, you can either walk along the Rijnsburgerweg and the Wassenaarseweg (30 minutes, see the map below), take a taxi, or take bus number 57 to Lisse (get out at the stop named "Corpus") or bus number 43 to Den Haag (get out at the stop named "Universiteitsterrein", near the circularly shaped lecture hall). Each bus takes less than 10 minutes, leaving the station twice an hour. From the roadside, the buildings look like this, and after entering via the carpark, the entrance is here. For details how to reach the LION by car from the highways ( --- ) or on foot from the station ( ), click the map for enlargements (click left; city: click right).
